Codebusters offers a wide range of health information management (HIM) and health information technology (HIT) staffing services.  Healthcare providers are facing two major changes in business process:  the transition to ICD-10 by Oct 2013 and by 2015 have a fully implemented EHR that meets meaningful use criteria.  Our services can help providers achieve full coding and billing compliance under ICD-10 and an EHR that is meaningfully useful to the organization while also meeting the full dictates of the HITECH Act.

We work with large hospital systems and independent facilities in both the public and private sectors.  Clients include health maintenance organizations, acute care hospitals, surgery centers, physician clinics.

Our HIM services can be broken down into several positions: Coding, Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (CDIS), HIM Directors, Supervisors, Compliance Analysts, Record Technicians, Tumor Registrars, and ICD-10 Trainers.  Coders can be deployed onsite or offsite.  CDI Specialists and coders have become particularly important due to the increased scrutiny of Medicare claims by the RAC auditors.  Given that ICD-10 has many more codes than ICD-9, an even higher level of detail will be needed in clinician documentation.  A number of different people across HIM and the revenue cycle must be trained in ICD-10, with the greatest attention given to the clinicians and the coders, with whom lies the largest risk of error in the submission of the encounter claim.

HIT staffing surrounds the need to implement an EHR by 2015.  Hospitals across the nation are in need of a wide range of IT staff to support this reshaping of their information structure.  The EHR offers many opportunities for increased efficiency, but a large number of different types of talent must be employed to plan, test, implement, train, and support. We offer EHR specialists, network engineers, mobile device engineers, web programmers, support personnel, team leads, and other positions that are necessary for implementation and maintenance of an EHR.
